PML-N has fielded 12 candidates for National Assembly seats while 29 have been awarded tickets for Punjab Assembly seats
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced its list of candidates contesting polls from the Lahore District in elections slated for February 8.
The PML-N has fielded 12 candidates for the National Assembly seats, while 29 are awarded tickets for the Punjab Assembly seats.
PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, President Shehbaz Sharif, Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, and Vice President Hamza Shehbez are also contesting from the metropolis — considered the party’s stronghold.
The party has awarded tickets for 12 NA seats out of 14 while and has entered into an electoral deal with Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) on two constituencies — NA-117 and NA-128 from where Aleem Khan and Awn Chaudhry will contest respectively.
Likewise, out of Lahore’s 30 provincial assembly seats, the party has awarded tickets for 29 seats. It has left PP-149 vacant for IPP from where Abdul Aleem Khan will contest.
